Commercial Water Removal in Belleair Bluffs

If contaminated water enters your daycare facility, SERVPRO properly sanitizes all the affected areas.

SERVPRO Acts Fast to Keep Your Belleair Bluffs Daycare Safe after Water Damage

A little water spills into every Belleair Bluffs business at some point. In most cases, it is a simple matter to find the leak and begin removing the water while business goes on around our technicians.

For a few businesses in Belleair Bluffs, commercial water removal is slightly different. When the leak sends water across the floor of a daycare operation, then SERVPRO restoration crews have to get everything dry and safe before this business can reopen its doors. That makes getting it done quickly and correctly more important than ever. No parent is going to leave their child where large pumps and other noisy equipment is running.

In a facility like a daycare center, finding the leak is usually simple. The most common problems are rusted out connections in water lines or a failure in the out-going water line. For a failed connection, our task is fairly simple. Our IICRC-certified technicians turn off the water and then replace the failed connection. Occasionally, technicians have to replace a section of the pipe as well.

If the failure is an out-going water line, the task is more involved. We still replace the pipe, connections, and possibly the toilet, as with other failures, but there is the additional threat of contaminated water. Before we begin the repair and removal, we spray the standing water and affected surfaces like storage cabinets, large toys, and chairs with an anti-fungal cleaning agent to prevent contaminating clean areas of the center as we complete the task.

Once we finish spraying, SERVPRO crews bring in pumps and powered extraction wands. The pumps remove most of the water, and the wands finish the task over the surfaces, to include carpeting. If there is a pad underneath the carpet, however, we recommend removing it. Carpet pads deteriorate quickly, are very difficult to dry, and are usually so cheap that is more cost effective for us to remove and replace them.

SERVPRO of Largo has served our community and other parts of Florida for over twenty years. If your business has flooded or simply has water on a storage room floor, call us today at (727) 586-0060. We are here to help.
